A Clean First Project Using McCall’s #3830

And that’s it, really.  A clean and sharp rendition of McCall’s # 3830 in navy wool suiting with lightweight red crepe back satin bias-bound seams and details.

The only thing we changed here from the construction details in the pattern envelope was the addition of the binding to the vertical seam allowances, lower facing edge, and hem edge before we folded it up.

We like to introduce the idea of longevity and quality to students right off the bat – especially for simple basics like this.  It is a great first project to take on if you wear skirts and this skirt in particular came out really well.
