Wally and his girlfriend Amie signed up for class three sessions a while ago having only had a local pillow-making class.
His first project was a vest from Vogue’s menswear section out of grey wool that had just a hint of stretch.
This is his second project: Pants made from the same wool using Burda #6873.
Overall, a great pair of pants. As far as the pattern goes, it has a nice waistline – not too high or too low, and really works well if you are making them for someone with a little more athletic or slim shape.
He made these from a casually dressy fabric, but they would work equally well in a chino or denim as well as a really high-end suit-weight wool or even a summer linen or silk blend.
As far as Burda pants patterns for men go, this is probably a little closer to something that all guys will like. The leg is straight but not too full or too skinny. Just a little bit of a boot cut, but once hemmed it reads as straight.
