Maddie Works Some Barbarella Magic With McCall’s #6350

Sigh.  What is a girl to do when she has a little 1/2 of a yard remnant of Barbarella print fabric and some tulle?
Might we suggest this? (sorry, the light balance is off in these)

Maddie wanted something interesting without it actually being a superhero costume. We stared with McCall’s #6350, that Barbarella remnant, two colors of linen, and some orange crinoline.  Too bad all stories don’t start off with such interesting ingredients. Envelope cover of McCall's #6350 at Tchad Workrooms

Working out the details…

The pattern is actually surprisingly easy, with only the pleated detail in the center front bust a little tricky – there is a specific fold you have to make twice that is hard to read as a beginner, but otherwise this is. fairly smooth sailing project!

Although out of print, you can find McCall’s #6350 easily online.

You can read about it on Pattern Review here.
