Natalie had had a couple of mediocre experiences in sewing classes before and wanted to get this one right. She came to us saying that she wanted to be able to finish something that was wearable and she could be proud of.
After getting a sense of her taste in fabrics – something different – she went through beaded sheers, faux furs, and sculptured velvet when she stumbled on this aquamarine diamond patterned cut velvet at Fishman’s Fabrics.
Here is her result – she is not quite done, as the hem needs to come up two inches, but the look is rich, textured, and very interesting.
