If there is one thing we are used to in the workroom, it is a student showing up with something like this:
“I’ve been invited to a formal wedding in Shanghai in two months! Can we get a dress made?”
Sometimes it doesn’t work out, but this time everything came together perfectly.
Mia used Butterick #4343 in a silk noile with silk charmeuse lining. It turned out great!
This was right before we made a final pressing and set the hem, but overall it is a good pattern if you want an interesting fitted one-shoulder dress with princess seams.
We are still waiting for pics from the wedding. As soon as she gets them to us, we’ll post those as well.
UPDATE:
The first of the wedding pics is here! Here is a good time being had in a dress made at Tchad!
