Just a note that the folks at FurtureLearn are putting out a free online class that covers historical costume from Henry VIII to Elizabeth II.  This would be a great way to cut your teeth on some historical design and clothing theory if you are interested in it.

One of our former students takes classes from them and brought it up and it seemed like a good fit with a lot of the conversations up here.
