Erin’s Latest: Frances Dress by Victory Patterns

Erin has been sewing a lot at home and outside of class this quarter and has been just churning things out!

This time, she tackled the Frances Dress by Victory patterns.

She raised the back neckline, but the only alteration that we ended up working out on it was the armhole.  Erin is a pretty standard size 12 in big-4 patterns, so the armhole on this dress seems to be high.  Fine, but high.  We lowered the armhole and she altered the sleeve slightly to fit.

The skirt of the dress is long, so like most of the dresses Erin has made up here, we ended up cutting about 6-8 inches off to fit her 5’3″ frame.

This is too long! We have to shorten this for me!

“You always photobomb my projects, Tchad” “hee hee hee”

And so we chopped it down, hemmed it, and she ran out the door!
