Erin worked hard to get her first project done. She wanted to keep going, but was a little disappointed that her first project felt like more of a bear than she had anticipated. So, after it was finished, she said she needed a “quick win”. She needed something she liked that would make her feel like she was accomplishing something.
Enter: McCall’s #3830.
When you are just starting out or you just want to whip something up, skirt wearers can do no wrong when it comes to this little gem. You can work it up unfinished inside and run out the door to dinner, or you can finish the insides with lining or binding.
In this case, Erin worked it up in a wool houndstooth and lined it with some vintage red acetate/rayon blend crepe back satin that we had on hand here. The results don’t disappoint, and palette cleansed, she was able to keep moving forward…
